Learn how to make chemical-free, all natural skin care products and soaps that are good for you and the environment.

Our skin absorbs most of what is applied topically, so it is important to consider the ingredients in our skin products and soaps.

Most soaps and skin care products contain chemical compounds that are harmful to both humans and our environment. The majority of common products (even some labeled “all natural”) contain common carcinogenic ingredients like Benzoyl Peroxide, Phthalates, Triclosan, Parabens, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, and more.

Homemade natural skin care products are simple and sustainable. When you make your own beauty products, you can choose to use organic, local and/or fair trade ingredients to protect your health and that of our ecosystems.

RSVP to join us in a hands-on workshop that covers the basics of all-natural soap making and skin care!

In this workshop we will:

  • Make a natural soap from beginning to end
  • Discuss naturally occuring exfoliants
  • Learn the differences between many types of skin care products
  • Make lotions, moisturizers, and body scrubs from scratch

Each participant will make and take home a few samples of natural skin care products.

*We will be spending most of the time outdoors and in the kitchen. Please wear comfortable clothing and closed toed shoes.
