On Wednesday, February 14th at 5 PM, the Latin American Studies department will screen the documentary “Daughters of the Forest”. This film tells the story of a small group of indigenous girls in rural Paraguay, who attend a radical high school where they learn to protect their endangered forest of the Mbaracayu Reserve. The screening will be followed by a Q&A session with Blum Center Visiting Scholar Martin Burt, who was instrumental in the foundation of the Mbaracayu Forest School featured in the film.

Please join us before the film for a light reception starting at 4PM in the Humanities Gateway Courtyard.
