The 2nd Annual “Taste the Season” Event is a showcase of UCI Global Food Initiative Fellows’ work and a night to engage the graduate and family community in sustainability programming.
Come enjoy FREE homemade pasta primavera while learning about food action efforts on campus! Booths with fun activities for the whole family! Bring your own bowls, plates, or utensils to be entered to win raffle prizes!
UCI Hospitality & Dining Chef Angel Lara will demonstrate how to make pasta with fresh, seasonal veggies at 6pm. Gracie Wong, food fellow for Dining and Housing will be showing off her Student Cookbook, sustainable desserts, and talking about food waste. SOAR Food Pantry and CalFresh will be there to talk about food security assistance. Dining’s Green Captains and garden fellows will be doing seed plantings. Housing EarthReps will make fruit smoothies in our blender bike. And more!
The event is FREE and open to all graduate students at UCI.
