President Clinton will host the 10th Annual Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U) meeting at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts from Friday, October 13, 2017 - Sunday, October 15, 2017. Since 2008, students have made more than 6,250 commitments, and nearly $3 million in funding has been awarded to student commitment-makers through CGI University.

CGI U 2017 will take place from October 13-15 at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. Before you apply, make sure you review our application overview and our application checklist. Please use the application preview to draft your responses before you begin the application in case you experience technical difficulties. You will not be able to save your application and return to it at a later point, and your application will time out after 2 hours.

Each person may only submit one application. If you are applying as a group, the group leader must complete his or her application first and select 'Group' as the application type in Section I to provide details about group members. We do not allow groups of more than three students to apply for CGI U, and we reserve the right to not invite all members of each group that applies. If your group has more than three students, we ask that you select the three students who can best represent your project to apply.

The final application deadline is May 1, 2017.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and currently enrolled in an institution of higher education at the time of application. (Ex: A student graduating after the May 1, 2017 final deadline would be eligible to apply.) Students who will be at least 18 years of age and enrolled in an institution of higher education by October 2017 are also eligible to apply. (Ex: A high school senior who turns 18 years of age in June 2017 and commences university studies by October 2017 or a university graduate enrolling in an advanced degree program by October 2017 would also be eligible to apply.)

The meeting is free to attend, but you are responsible for your travel and lodging expenses. You may also be eligible to receive funding for your commitment through the CGI University Network.
