The Orange County Community Foundation is super-charging local giving by hosting the second annual i❤oc Giving Day from 6 a.m. April 27 through noon April 28, 2016.
It’s 30 hours to give where your heart lives. Secure, tax-deductible donations will be accepted on iheartoc.org.
UCI is hosting a donations drive for the Global Sustainability Resource Center, which provides leadership training, internships, and community organizing events to enable students to lead the transition to a sustainable and socially just world.
Funding Needs
- Summer Fellowships
Help train future sustainability leaders by sponsoring a summer fellowship. ($5,000 per student or community partner; 10 fellowships sought) - Community Engaged Scholarship
Support student research with community partners to co-create sustainability solutions. ($100 per project for supplies; support for 10 projects sought) - Campus as a Living Lab
Urban farming positions students to be self-sufficient and knowledgeable about the impact of global food production. ($3,000 per garden; support for 2 gardens sought)
