Ask questions of a variety of professionals in the environmental field and find out how they made it to where they are now. Lunch will be served.

Panelists:

Doug Feremenga, Principal Environmental Analyst, Transportation Corridor Agencies

Mr. Feremenga graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Rural and Urban Planning from the University of Zimbabwe. He then graduated from the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona with a Master of Urban and Regional Planning and went on to complete a Ph.D. from the University of California, Irvine in Urban and Regional Planning. He is now a principal environmental analyst at Transportation Corridor Agencies where he works NEPA and CEQA compliance and habitat conservation planning.

George Lu, Air Quality and Greenhouse Gas Analyst, First Carbon Solutions

Mr. Lu graduated from the University of California, Davis with a Bachelor of Science in environmental and resource science. He has more than 12 years of experience with air quality and greenhouse gas analysis and is currently a senior scientist with First Carbon Solutions.

Starla Barker, AICP, Environmental Planner, Michael Baker International

Ms. Barker is a graduate of the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona where she earned a Master of Urban and Regional Planning. She also graduated from the University of California, Riverside with a Bachelor of Arts in business economics. She is now a CEQA and NEPA senior project manager with Michael Baker International and has 16 years of experience in the environmental field.

Rebecca Kinney, Hydrology Specialist, Michael Baker International

Ms. Kinney is a hydrology specialist with Michael Baker International with more than 20 years of experience in the field. She graduated from the California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

Mina Rouhi, GIS Analyst/Senior Planner, UltraSystems Environmental Inc.

Ms. Rouhi is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine where she received a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and social behavior. She then graduated from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona with a Master of Arts of Urban and Regional Planning and a certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). She has ten years of GIS experience working as an analyst with UltraSystems Environmental.
