Join us for a seminar by Dr. Compton J. Tucker from NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center on October 2, 2024, at 3:30 PM in CRH 3101. 

Dr. Tucker will discuss his research that combines 50 cm satellite data, machine learning, and high-performance computing to map and quantify carbon from 9.9 billion semi-arid trees over 10 million km² with a 20% uncertainty margin. The results, published in Nature, challenge previous studies and provide new insights into global carbon stocks.
