Join Quinton Sankofa of Movement Generation with our guest presenter Hilary Moore, political educator and co-author of No Fascist USA!, for a free webinar on ecofascism on March 28 at 3:30pm PST / 6:30pm EST.

Ecofascism is a term that describes how environmentalism is leveraged to justify fascist violence against marginalized peoples, including Black, Indigenous, people of color, immigrants, LGBTQ+ folks, disabled folks, poor folks, and more. While our movements continue to do the significant work of stopping the bad on all fronts, ecofascists are making headway on the political front by codifying their hate: violent attacks on gender identity and expression, seizing reproductive rights, rolling back voting rights, challenging tribal sovereignty, controlling how histories are taught in schools, in addition to the ongoing vilification and physical violence against Black and Indigenous peoples.

We must actively coordinate in our organizing to neutralize ecofascist ideas. One way to do that is to study up, together.

In this webinar, we will discuss:

The history of communities of color organizing in resistance to fascism
How environmental and climate discourse is leveraged toward fascist tendencies
Ecofascism’s roots in eugenics
Dangerous narratives that Left movements need to squash
Movement strategies to combat ecofascism
…and more
