Teaching Climate Change: Book Talk
Join us to explore teaching climate change with Professor Mark Windschitl visiting from the University of Washington. Dr. Winschitl will be speaking about his latest book, Teaching Climate Change: Fostering Understanding, Resilience and a Commitment to Justice. Anyone who is interested in climate change education, including pre-service teachers, K-12 teachers, teacher leaders, administrators, and scholars, are invited to UCI Research Park from 4:30-6:30 on May 28th.
At the workshop we will:
*hear from educators who are currently teaching about climate change in Orange County schools
*learn about teaching climate change in a way that fosters student agency, models solutions-based instruction, and centers an ethos of caring and justice
*engage in conversations with colleagues
