Hear from food systems experts across the food chain, including a keynote by renowned author Anna Lappé, on how government food contracts can create fair and sustainable practices throughout Southern California. The event will examine the purchasing power of the City and County of Los Angeles and Los Angeles Unified School District to invest in local farms, shift growers to sustainable practices, improve conditions for workers and expand nutritional opportunities for communities at greatest risk for diet-related disease.

The LA Food Policy Council and the Food Chain Workers Alliance are teaming up to host a dynamic storytelling event, complete with features from Real Food Media and FCWA’s digital media campaign “Voices of the Food Chain,” data-driven analysis, and perspectives from an expert panel.
