What is it?
The Student Led Congress is a FREE 1.5 day program that will help students take action about sustainability on and off the UC Irvine campus.
Who can attend?
Any UCI student is welcome to apply. Approximately 15-25 students will be chosen by peers to take part in the program. The program is facilitated by students from the Global Sustainability Resource Center (GSRC).
What will I learn?
Student sustainability leaders will explore ways to work together better on sustainability projects on and off the UC Irvine campus. The program enables the group to journey through a community visioning and action planning process in which the content is driven by the ideas that participants bring to the table. All participants will select groups to work with on self-identified sustainability projects for the community and will have an opportunity to present their vision and action plans to student leaders, faculty and staff at the Community Forum on Friday, April 22.
This student-led event is supported by The Green Initiative Fund at UC Irvine.
