American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists
The UC Irvine chapter of the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists was founded in May 2011. It was started in order to unite the environmental engineers at UC Irvine and build a tight-knit community. AAEES works to bring together any undergraduate engineers dedicated to the environment including civil and chemical engineers. AAEES is dedicated to providing opportunities for environmental engineers to better themselves professionally, academically, and socially through engaging events.
AAEES represents environmental engineers throughout engineering on various committees and ensures that their voices are heard. AAEES has been crucial to bringing improvements to the environmental engineering degree in order to ensure that graduates get the most out of the degree.
