This is a great opportunity for students and recent grads, birders and naturalists who rarely get a chance to see scientists and resource managers present their findings in an accessible and open forum like this (science symposia are usually catered to scientists not the general public).
During this symposium, researchers from several governmental and private organizations will talk about what has changed at the Bolsa Chica wetlands since its restoration was completed 10 years ago. They will present bird, fish and plant census data among other interesting results, and will also discuss the conservation challenges that still remain.
We are currently waiving the $10 registration fee for students who cannot afford it; all they need to do is to email us at info@amigosdebolsachica.org
