Sponsored by the Medical Humanities Initiative and Water UCI, this panel discussion will provide an interdisciplinary perspective on the current water crisis in Flint, Michigan.

The panel will consist of History professor Dr. Andrew Highsmith, whose research includes the history of post-World War II Flint and the history of urban public health, Planning Policy and Design chair Dr. David Feldman who researches water distribution and management and who will provide a public policy perspective, and Public Health professor Dr. Dele Ogunseitan who researches the health consequences of pollution and industrial development.

The panel will be moderated by history professor Dr. Douglas Haynes, director of the UC Irvine Medical Humanities Initiative.
