Join us for an interactive panel to learn how active members in academia and business are taking action and finding solutions to climate change.
Reception to follow.

WHEN: January 30, 2018
WHERE: Pacific Ballroom C
6:30-7:00 Art Gallery
7:00-8:30 Panel
8:30-9:00 Reception

Speakers from the sectors of academia and industry will answer students’ questions on local climate action efforts and solutions. This panel will bring all majors at UCI together to learn about solutions to one of the biggest problems of our generation: climate change. Before solving a problem, it is important to understand what other sectors are already doing. There are 3 components of the project: a climate change art gallery at the beginning, a panel as the main event, and a reception debrief at the end.
During the art gallery, students will visually see artistic and photographic representations of climate action.
During the panel, climate action experts from distinct sectors will answer students’ questions.
During the reception, students can personally ask the panelists more questions and discuss with their peers their thoughts on climate change and what they can do about it.

This event will create a more aware, informed, and environmentally conscious student body that will be inspired to lead more sustainable lives and improve the community around them.
