3 Reasons to Plant Natives:

1) We are in a drought! In addition to reducing our personal water use by 20% come help the campus reduce water use in the landscape. We are replacing over 8,500 square feet of ‘water-thirsty’ turf with plants that need little to no water.

2) Planting California natives supports the local ecosystem by providing habitat for wildlife including butterflies and hummingbirds. Native plants are not as prone to pests and diseases reducing the need for pesticides and fungicides.

3) YOU can leave a lasting legacy on your campus by planting a beautiful and sustainable garden.
