Wildfire Discussion and Career Fair

Recent wildfires in the Los Angeles area have highlighted the urgent need for greater understanding, proactive engagement, and community resilience in fire preparedness, response, and rebuilding efforts. To address these critical issues, the CSUN Institute for Sustainability, in collaboration with Conservation Concierges, the CSUN Department of Geography and Environmental Studies, and with the support of the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, invites you to the Wildfire Discussion & Career Fair.

This event will:

• Educate and engage students and the community on wildfire preparedness and response strategies.
• Highlight career opportunities in wildfire-related fields.
• Foster meaningful discussions with leading experts and practitioners.

What to Expect:

• Lectures and Panel Discussion: Engage with top leaders in wildfire management and response to gain insights into fire science, community resilience, and action steps for rebuilding affected areas.
  • 3-4pm: Student Focused Lectures and Panel
  • 5:30-6:30: Community Focused Lectures and Panel
• Career Fair: Connect with organizations and professionals offering wildfire-related job opportunities and internships.
