Carrie Metzgar

Sustainability & Planning Analyst, Campus Physical & Environmental Planning

Carrie Metzgar is the Sustainability & Planning Analyst for UCI Campus Physical & Environmental Planning. She provides programming, analysis, and reporting for campus planning and sustainability efforts and initiatives. Carrie holds a Master’s degree in International Planning with an emphasis in Urban Sustainability from the University College London, and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Ecology with minors in Urban Planning and Educational Studies from UC Irvine.

Prior to joining UC Irvine, Carrie worked for the City of Long Beach Office of Sustainability where she provided support for climate action and adaptation planning, sustainability education and outreach & stakeholder engagement and collaboration. She also has several years of experience in non-profit programming, event coordination, and community relations. Carrie has enjoyed returning to her UC Irvine roots and being directly involved in climate and sustainability efforts on campus.
